What I do
A lot of it starts the same way: something a business is doing by hand over and over, or data scattered across a bunch of places that needs to be pulled together. Sometimes the fix is a pipeline, sometimes a dashboard, sometimes just an automation. Depends on the problem.
Data engineering
Pull data out of the different places it lives, clean it up, and get it somewhere useful. Pipelines that collect, clean, and load business data so it's actually ready to report on.
Software & reporting
Dashboards, reporting tools, and web apps, built to fit how a team works instead of the other way around.

Automated reporting
Someone was downloading reports and uploading them somewhere else every morning. I automated the process so it just runs on its own.
Data pipelines
Data was spread across several systems and had to be pulled together by hand. I built a daily process that collects it, cleans it, and loads it so it's ready for reporting.
Custom dashboards
Reporting was living in spreadsheets that took too much manual work to keep up to date. I built a web app that puts the operational and performance reporting in one place.

I'm a data engineer and software developer behind RDD Solutions. I work directly with businesses to automate manual work, bring their data together, and build the tools they need. Give me the problem and I'll dig into the details, figure out what's actually going on, and build what makes sense.
The name
Why the duck?
RDD stands for Rubber Ducky Data. It comes from rubber duck debugging: working through a problem out loud, line by line, until you understand what's actually going on. That's pretty much how I work. Understand the details, solve the problem, and explain what matters.
